TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SPICE AND OAK CANDLE...
The first time you use your candle, burn it long enough for the wax to melt right to the edges of the glass, we recommend 4 hours. This creates a candle memory and prevents tunnelling.
Before relighting your candle, ensure it has cooled and hardened completely, then trim the end of the wick.
Candles are sensitive to temperature and light. Prevent candles from fading, cracking and melting by storing your candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, dust and fluorescent light.
Keeping your wick trimmed to 1/4 inch and trimming the wick 'bud' before each use prevents smoke and soot and helps to ensure a clean burn.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents. This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting.
Drafts can also blow nearby lightweight items into the flame where they could catch fire.
Burn within sight in a draft-free area.
Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room. Don’t burn too many candles in a small room or in a small space where air exchange is limited.
Keep your candle out of reach of children and pets and anything flammable.
Do not attempt to move candle whilst in use, always burn on a flat surface and never leave it unattended.
Keep out of direct sunlight, this prevents damage and discolouration to wax.
To ensure the safety of yourself and others, never burn for longer than 4 hours at a time and never unattended.
But mostly, Enjoy your candle x
Due to their handmade nature, our candles will all be unique and not one will be identical to another.
We handcraft them in our studio with the utmost care and precision and try our very best to make them the same.
We use sustainable, eco soy wax that is not only great for the environment but leaves only a small carbon footprint.
Soy wax is delicate and can be subject to expand and change. Because of it's fragility therefore, some imperfections within the wax are normal and indicate that they are 100% natural.
NOTE: Our candles more often than not, are made to order.
We recommend reading our Candle Care before burning your Spice and Oak handmade candle.
